NexTier Bank Names New Chief Financial Officer
June 18, 2007 – NexTier Bank is pleased to announce that Michael Kirk has joined its staff as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Before joining NexTier, Kirk was Director of Regulatory Reporting at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh. Former positions have also included Executive Vice President (EVP) and CFO of Pittsburgh Financial Corporation, EVP and CFO of Bank Pittsburgh, and Controller at Community Savings Association.
Kirk is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also been involved in the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the Financial Manager's Society, the PA Association of Community Bankers, and the Western PA League of Financial Institutions.
His community service work includes: treasurer of the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Allegheny County, finance committee chair and lector for St. Edward’s parish, and coach for the Fox Chapel area youth basketball association.
Kirk resides in the Fox Chapel area with his wife and three children.
