NexTier Insurance Services expands with recent acquisition
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 7, 2006 – NexTier, Inc. announces the most recent expansion of the scope and customer base of its affiliate, NexTier Insurance Services, LLC. On July 1, 2006, NexTier Insurance Services, a full-service insurance agency, acquired J.F Gibson, Inc.
“The acquisition of J.F. Gibson enables us to build upon our existing insurance capabilities, most specifically in the areas of surety and insurance for the construction industry,” said Donald Shamey, CEO of NexTier Bank.
NexTier Insurance Services provides a full array of property and casualty insurance products including risk management, alternative risk financing and specialized practices for transportation and construction companies. NexTier Insurance customers include local, regional and national accounts and range in size from main street small businesses and franchisees to large national and international firms.
Current clients include the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of automatic transmission parts and a precision metal manufacturer with manufacturing in the United States, Costa Rica and Mexico.
